Borrego Outfitters was started when Ben & Donna Nourse, longtime visitors to Borrego Springs, moved here full time, purchased a 23 year old Borrego kitchen shop, The Potluck, and transformed it into “The Casual Lifestyle Store”. Ben and Donna had just completed a lifestyle-changing multi year vacation after starting and later selling a successful dot com retailer located in Seattle, WA.
“We saw a great opportunity to fill an important market need in Borrego Springs,” said Ben. “We felt we could bring together a broad mix of merchandise under one roof and create a unique shopping experience. So far, the acceptance has been phenomenal!”
Adds Donna, “While I’ve worked in retail all my life, it’s especially fun at Borrego Outfitters, where I can get to know my customers and introduce them to products that are my personal favorites.”
